MURDER OF CROWS is proud to be hosting their summer classic, the 2026 Murder of Crows Open! This will be the 11th year we've run this meet!
The competition will be hosted over 2 days on Saturday, May 30th, and Sunday, May 31st, at Murder of Crows, 1010 Dean Street, Brooklyn, NY 11238. Men will lift on Saturday, and Women will lift on Sunday*. Each day will finish with a Prime Time group consisting of the Top 13 athletes ranked by calculation of Q-Points for their declared entry total and declared weight class. Registration will be capped at 120 athletes.
Once more, we’ll be awarding a cash prize of $1500 FOR THE BEST TEAM!!! Teams will consist of 5 members from a sanctioned USAW Club. Team registration and more detailed competition rules will be linked here soon. The Best Man and Best Woman Lifter will be awarded $200 each – you must lift in the Prime Time session to be eligible for Best Lifter Awards.
We will be awarding medals to the top 3 finishers in each weight class. We will be contesting Youth, Junior, Senior (Open), and Masters (35-49 and 50+) competitions, and all athletes will automatically be entered into the "Open" classification. Due to the nature of this event, medals may not be awarded until after the Prime Time session has finished each day. Youth & Junior athletes, please contact the meet director for a discount code before you register. If an athlete needs to withdraw from this meet, we will give a 50% refund through Sunday, April 27th, 2025. After that point, there will be no refunds, no exceptions.
There will be vendors at this event, and spectators are welcome to attend for $5 (cash or Venmo) which is used to support our national team for the upcoming 2026 USAW National Championships Week in Colorado Springs.
COMPETITION RULES: Any changes to your entry total or weight class MUST be made before 8PM on Monday, May 25th. No changes will be accepted after this meeting, including your team affiliation. Only athletes who are not scheduled for Prime Time will be permitted to go up a weight class at weigh in. Since the assignment of Prime Time slots depends on accurate meet registration, all athletes will be held to the 20kg rule, so please make sure your information is all correct ASAP.
*In the event of an imbalance in the amount of registrants, we may hold a men's session on Saturday, TBD.
